The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, CP Wilfred Afolabi, has joined the global community in celebrating International Women’s Day, acknowledging the vital roles women play in society.

CP Afolabi commended women for their contributions to nation-building and called for increased female participation in all sectors.

He stressed the importance of women in shaping communities and institutions, urging more opportunities for their growth and advancement.

Specifically, he praised the female officers of the Ondo State Police Command for their dedication, resilience and ability to balance professional responsibilities with family life.

“I am proud of our female officers for their unwavering commitment. They have consistently demonstrated competence and dedication to duty,” he said.

The CP assured them of continued support and better opportunities within the force, recognising their capability and commitment.

He also encouraged those lagging behind to step up and serve as role models to women both within and outside the police force.
