Iwuanyanwu Nationale are Champions of Ages FC Eight Aside tourney

Iwuanyanwu Nationale have emerged as the Champions at the just concluded Eight Aside Football Competition.
The final of the tourney decided at Ijapo/ Housing field, Akure the state capital saw Iwuanyanwu Nationale defeated Abiola Babes 6-5 via penalty shoot out.
Iwuanyanwu Nationale failed to stamp their authority as the league topper as Abiola Babes forced them to a barren draw in the final of the encounter.
Iwuanyanwu also had many goal scoring chances rued in the first half to end the first half without goal from both sides.
Efforts by Abiola Babes to put their name on the scoring sheet were frustrated by Iwuanyanwu Nationale glovesman in the second half with a brilliant save.
Gold medals were presented to the winners while silver medal was presented to the runer up.
Blessing Adeyemi went hope with highest goal scorer prize while Abiola Babes Goalkeeper, Akinriran Omotuwa won the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
The Chairman of the competition planning committee, Mr Gbenga Akinmoyo said the competition was organised to engender the competitive spirit and encourage healthy welfare culture amongst members.
He added that it’s used as stock taking mechanism of the club register aimed at sharpening the skills of the club members in the art of man management, coaching , training selection and formation – management.
“Our target is to creat a platform for the discovery of budding talents in Ondo State.”
