Jegede, former Orange FM boss, thanks God at 60th birthday

Giving thanks and praising God have been described as a must for christians who want to live long in sound health and prosperity.

The Cannon in Residence of St David’s Cathedral Church, Oke Ijebu, Akure, Cannon Michael Oyebamiji made the assertion while delivering his sermon during the 60th birthday thanksgiving service for the erstwhile General Manager of Orange FM, Mr Olumuyiwa Tokunbo Jegede, on Tuesday.

The cleric said there are many reasons to thank God because of His grace that endures forever.

He said: “You must not forget all what He has done for you, God has been so good and faithful unto His promises in your life, hence the need to give Him thanks.

“Some of your colleagues are gone, not because of their sins against Him, but grace has found you”, he said.

He therefore called on the celebrant to rededicate his life to God and be closer to Him.

In his response, Jegede said it is God’s grace to clock the age of sixty in sound health

“I feel great, I feel on top of the world, I glorify God Almighty and praise Him.  It’s been a wonderful journey full of ups and downs, the more reason we need to praise God for preserving my life till today in happiness, joy, peace and good health. It is wonderful to be sixty”, he stated.

Prominent people who attended the ceremony to rejoice with him including his classmates at Aquinas College, Akure.
