From Fisayo Akinduro, Osogbo
\
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has been advised to use automatic method of collating results.

The advice was given by the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, Honorable Busayo Oluwole-Oke in Osogbo.

Oluwole-Oke who is returning to the lower chamber of the National Assembly for the fourth time said it is embarrassing that we are still using manual process to collate results.

He said the House of Representatives will continue to put INEC on their toes and in 2023, Nigeria’s electoral process would have made progress.

He commended the security agencies, saying the election was free and fair in Osun state.

While speaking on the assessment of the House,  Oluwole-Oke said Nigeria’s democracy has become stable as there are some level of stability in the polity.

He said military intervention has been the only problem of the parliament, noting that once elected, parliamentarians go behind their parties lineages to focus on the progress of the country.

“There is unity in the parliament, we care less about political party and we focus on working in tandem with the provisions of the law.”

The House of Representatives member said the 9th assembly will be robust, as there are more experienced members who will build on the achievements made so far.
