Jubilation as police nab serial killer, jailbreaker

Operatives of the Ondo State Police Command have re-arrested one of the jailbreakers of Owo Correctional Centre who was described by the police as a serial killer.
The jailbreaker, Oluwatosin Ikuhemeyin, who escaped from prison twice, told newsmen on Monday when paraded at the Police Command headquarters, Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital, that he met some hardened criminals in the cell where he was kept who were already planning how to escape from the jail.
It was gathered that the erstwhile fugitive is a prime suspect in multiple murders of rival cultist groups, raping of female citizens and robbery at Igbokoda, Okitipupa and other parts of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The suspect was said to have been terrorizing the people of the Okitipupa/ Igbokoda axis and killed many innocent people in the area.
According to the information gathered by The Hope, 4G, mean a network that never fails. Besides, he had killed many people in the area and cut their bodies to pieces.
He was also suspected to have been selling human parts to ritualists. He always recorded and shared the dismembered on social media.”
According to him, they incorporated him when they discovered that he was a serial killer and experienced jail-breaking.
He disclosed that seven of them in the cell escaped but went different ways when prison warders started shooting at them.
The jailbreaker also revealed that he was the No:1 of Ayee confraternity. Though he said he had relinquished the position and handed it over to his successor, who he simply identified as Golu.
Ikuhemeyin(a.k.a 4G) has been on Police wanted list over his involvement in the killing of some members of rival cult groups.
Speaking with newsmen, the image-maker of the state Police Command, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, a revealed that Ikuhemeyin was one of the sharpshooters of his gang before he was arrested and sentenced to Owo Correctional Centre.
According to her “information was received by men of Igbokoda Division that one Ikuhemeyi was in town.
Immediately, the DPO and his men went after him and he was re-arrest in soak away and he would be charged to court, “she confirmed.
Narrating to newsmen how he escaped with six others from the jail, the 24-year-old cultist said:
“I was a member of a cultist group called Aye and I am the leader, number one, in Igbokoda before I was arrested and sentenced to a Correctional Centre in Owo.
“I was arrested this morning in Igbokoda, but I escaped from Owo Prison in a jailbreak with some six other people after spending two weeks in the prison.
“I met with some people in the prison led by one Dad, who have planned on how to escape from the prison before I got there and they co-opted me into the plans and it was successful.
“We escaped through the toilet and it took us some days as we always fill the toilet with water to weaken the place. There was a Hausa guy who understands the techniques and eventually we succeeded in escaping from the prison.
“I headed straight to Akure in my house to change my cloth and left the town to Ogun State where I work with some people before returning to Igbokoda to work with the fishermen on the sea. I only come to Igbokoda to relax when the policemen spotted me and arrested me.”
Speaking on his escapades as the leader of the cult group, Ikuhemeyin said: “It’s been a long I was involved in the killing, I have changed and I only killed three people during a reprisal attack with a rival cult group.
“I have handed all my guns to one Golu who took over from me after I handed over the throne and they have all deserted me because they no longer trust me because I was arrested and escaped from prison.”
Also confirming the rearrest of 4G, the Ilaje Leadership Forum (Citizens Security Council) commended the Ondo State Police Command, and his team, the Anti-Crime Patrol in Igbokoda headquarters of Ilaje Local Government over the rearrest of the notorious Cultist Leader .
The Publicity Secretary of the group, Prince Emorioloye Owolemi while commending the Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, CP Oyeyemi Oyediran and the Anti Crime Patrol Team in Igbokoda for a job well done, equally expressed his sincere appreciation to the citizens for their support and understanding while the manhunt for the rearrested 4G lasted.
