Kidnappers demand N100m ransom to free Ekiti APC Chairman

Suspected kidnappers who abducted the Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mr Paul Omotoso, have contacted the family and demanded N100 million as ransom to secure his release.
Recall The Hope Metro had reported that the chairman was abducted along side two other persons on Sunday evening along Ilumoba/Imesi road in Gbonyin local government area of the State while traveling in his private car.
According to a source close to the family, the suspected kidnappers had contacted the family and demanded N100million.
He said the abductors who did not call until after 48hours .
Similarly, a notable member of the APC in the state who craved anonymity, said the abductors of the 63-year-old politician have contacted the family and demanded N100 million ransom.
The politician who lamented over what he called incessant kidnapping in the state, urged security operatives to improve on providing watertight security within the state.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Sunday Abutu said he was not aware of any negotiation between the suspected kidnappers and the family of the victim.
But the Commandant of the Amotekun Corps in Ekiti State, Brigadier Joe Komolafe, said his men and some local hunters are currently in the forest around the state, making frantic efforts to rescue the victim.
He said there was no call from the suspected abductors to the family of the politician.
The Amotekun boss gave an assurance that the APC chairman will be rescued freely.
