The incessant abduction and kidnapping of school children in some parts of the country have been described as war against the future of the country.
The Vicar in charge of Emmanuel Anglican Church, Edo, Ikare Akoko, Venerable Isaac Awowole made the statement during the church’s service, yesterday.
Awowole recalled that many children will be scared to go to school and this may contribute in no small way to backwardness and lack of development in the country.
He charged Christians to wage war against many social vices plaguing the country.
The cleric said God abhors all vices and acts that can lead to bloodshed and lost of lives.
Awowole appealed to government at all levels to consider security as very important, hence they need to do more in order to secure lives and properties of innocent Nigerians.
He gave kudos to south western Nigerian leaders for their concern over insecurity.
