LACO-FSIC applauds Kenneth-Odutola’s appointment as new head for OSRC

The appointment of Mr. Stevenson Kenneth-Odutola as the new Director-General of the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC) by the state Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has sparked widespread commendation, with stakeholders hailing the decision as a strategic step towards media excellence in the state.

Leading the applause is the fledgling group for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last governorship election in Ondo State, the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers Independent Council (LACO-FSIC).

In a statement issued through its State Director of Information, Mr. Kayode Fasua, in Akure, on Thursday, the group described the appointment as “befitting, twell-timed, and apt.”

The group remarked that “Mr. Kenneth-Odutola is a seasoned broadcast journalist of global repute; one who has successfully founded and managed a private broadcast station.”

It noted, stating, “He is also well primed to rescue the OSRC from its hiatus as charged by Mr. Governor, and make it compete favourably with high-profile radio and television stations nationally, and even globally.”

The body reckoned that the appointment, coming as a prelude to the inauguration of Governor Aiyedatiwa for a new tenure of four years, is clear evidence that the governor values the pivotal role of the media in the smooth-running of any administration.

The LACO-FSIC, however, urged the new helmsman at the OSRC to book a channel for the station on the Digital Satellite Television ( DSTV), among other digital networks, to further widen its scope of coverage.

The campaign body thus conveyed the deep pleasure of its entire members represented by the Convener, Baba Aladura (Dr.) Dipo Okeyomi, aka Carry Go; Co-convener, Prince Biyi Poroye, and Director-General, who is Ondo State Commissioner for Sport and Youth Development, Mr. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, with the new appointment.
