* Police arrest two others following withdrawal of ₦800,000 from victim’s account

* Cult gang allegedly linked to students’ abduction, murder

By Bukola Olamona

The prime suspect in the gruesome murder of two students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), Femi Oladele, also known as Tallex, has died under mysterious circumstances shortly after confessing to the crime.

Oladele, who was said to be the landlord of the missing students, Andrew Eloho Okah and John Friday Abba, was apprehended by the Ondo State Police Command at a hotel in Akungba after weeks of investigation.

Sources disclosed that the suspect had directed a group of cultists to “deal with” the two students for allegedly disrespecting him, a move that reportedly led to their abduction and murder.

The students were declared missing for several weeks before one of the deceased’s decomposing bodies was discovered near the Ondo-Ekiti boundary. Further findings revealed that the victims were allegedly abducted, robbed, raped and murdered.

Police sources indicated that Oladele fell ill shortly after giving a confessional statement to investigators and was under medical supervision before his eventual death at the hospital.

Confirming the development, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, SP Olayinka Ayanlade, said, “Yes, he is dead; he had been under medical supervision since his arrest and had been in and out of the hospital.

“He passed away yesterday. We have recovered the decomposing body of Okah and are still searching for Abba’s remains.”

The police further revealed that two other suspects, identified as Kola and Michael, had been arrested in connection with the case.

According to investigations, the duo withdrew ₦800,000 from Abba’s account after the murder.

While confirming the arrests, the police assured that investigation was ongoing and pledged to ensure that all those involved in the killings are brought to justice.
