LCDAs: ODHA ’ll give legislative backing – Oleyelogun

The Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Bamidele Oleyelogun has promised that the Assembly would give Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s move to create Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) necessary legislative backings.
Oleyelogun made the promise yesterday at Igbara-Oke, the headquarters of Ifedore Local Government area while speaking with journalists during the thank-you-visit by the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to Ifedore council area.
The visit was in continuation of the governor’s tour of the 18 local government areas of the state. Present at the visit were APC state working committee led by the state chairman, Ade Adetimehin, Secretary to the state government, Ifedayo Abegunde, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, traditional rulers across the local government, women group, among other party leaders.
The Speaker, who particularly lauded the governor for his determination to create the LCDAs, explained that the move would further create jobs and drive socioeconomic development at the grassroots.
Oleyelogun who is also the lawmaker representing Ifedore State constituency in the State House of Assembly noted that the creation of LCDAs would further make government closer to the people and ensure provision of dividends of good governance.
The Speaker who thanked people of Ifedore council area for their unwavering support in the Presidential and state Assembly elections assured of more people oriented projects for sustainable development to thrive in Ondo state.
He welcomed the governor and his entourage to the local government and assured the governor of the readiness of the people of Ifedore to continue to support him beyond year 2020, adding that Akeredolu has done much for the people of the local government and state at large within two years in office.
Oleyelogun commended the governor for the various infrastructural projects including road construction, renovation of school buildings and provision of potable water, among others.
He specifically said with the numerous achievements of Akeredolu in just two years, the governor deserved second term in office, promising all necessary support would be given to ensure he is re-elected in 2020 governorship election in the state.
