Aiyedatiwa said the creation was for the improvement of productivity and good governance for the socioeconomic development in the grassroot.

The Acting Governor made these clarifications when the leadership of Ondo State chapter of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) led by the State Chairman, Mr. Adesanya Olaoluwa of All People’s Party ( APP ) paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Akure .

The State Chairmen of 11 political parties in the state were part of the visit.

Aiyedatiwa said, ” a robust, visionary, innovative and pragmatic Local Government Council/ LCDA will engender speedy development for the state.”

He explained that, the system of local government according to 1999 constitution is guaranteed that government of every state shall subject section 8 of the constitution to ensure their existence under a law which provides for the establishment, structure, composition, finance and functions of such councils.

He said the major task of local government was development at the grassroots as he charged local government leaders to strive towards a culture of service and the practice of excellence.

“When fully implemented,  the new LCDAs will fast track development of the state” , he assured

Earlier, the State Chairman of IPAC,  Olaoluwa commended the state government on security and infrastructure development.

“We cannot help but commend the creation of these LCDAs, the efforts of our State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu particularly in the area of security and infrastructure development is commendable as we pray for his quick recovery” , he said.

Olaoluwa also applauded the character and value of the Acting Governor by remaining focused on quality governance and providing the necessary leadership at this time. .

He said Aiyedatiwa is a unified leader who continuously work towards bringing everybody together in peace and unity for the  betterment of the people and the state.
