Politicians have been advised to learn how to accept defeat with open minds while winners must not be too joyous at victory as only Almighty God ordains and dethrones.
The Vicar in charge of Emmanuel Anglican Church, Edo,Ikare-Akoko, Venerable Isaac Awowole, stated this in a chat with The Hope on Sunday.
Awowole, called on winners to extend arm of fellowship to the losers and be magnanimous in victory.
According to him, they should be a good sportsmen and see the outcome as no Victor, no vanquished.
The cleric commended INEC for a good job despite cash crunch, fuel hike and scarcity in the land.
He called on religious leaders not to relent in their prayers for the success of the remaining Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
