Lenten season: Oludare urges Christians to pay for peace, unity

The National Convener of the Social Rehabilitation Group (SRG), Dr. Marindoti Oludare, has congratulated Christians all over the world, especially those in Ondo State, as they begin their Lenten season.
The 40 days of fasting and prayer, he said, symbolise the beginning of the journey toward the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a statement issued by the Southwest Coordinator of SRG, Obadofin Ademola, on Wednesday, the national convener of the group admonished Christians to use this period to seek God’s guidance for Nigeria, its leaders, and the peace of the nation.
According to Dr. Oludare, this period should also be dedicated to reflecting on peaceful coexistence, the sanctification of souls, and sharing love with one another.
In the statement, the U.S.-based medical doctor and politician wished Christians a peaceful Lenten season and the joy of the period in Christ Jesus.
