Let’s embrace Akeredolu ‘s vision, Ogunleye urges

The people of Ondo State have been urged to embrace the good vision of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the state for the betterment of all.

The new Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Saka Ogunleye gave the advice in his maiden meeting with the management and staff of the ministry on assumption of office.

According to him, the good dream of the governor could only be achieved through the cooperation of all residents of the state irrespective of political affiliation and interest.

He said in the history of the state, without any equivocation, Akeredolu has surpassed the previous administrations in terms of provision of infrastructural facilities across the state.

The Commissioner said the giant strides of the Governor have endeared him to the hearts of the good people of the state, noting that more could still be achieved through the cooperation of all.

He stated that he has come to the ministry to complement the developmental vision of Mr Governor with a promise to do everything possible to move the ministry forward.

Ogunleye used the forum to appreciate the people of his  immediate constituency from Akure North Local Government who graced the meeting for their support for him, the Governor and the candidates of their party during the last general election.

He said he has concluded arrangements with all the appointees and elected members of the party to give back to the people of the constituency from their earnings.

Earlier, welcoming the Commissioner to the ministry, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Otun highlighted the vision and mission of the ministry to include making all roads motorable in the state.

The Permanent Secretary who gave a long lists of roads that were in various stages of completion, said the ministry was not just concerned with building roads but constructing quality ones that could stand the test of time.
