LG boss tasks Supervisors APC on victory

The newly inaugurated caretaker members of Akure South Local Government have been charged to collectively work for the success of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

The chairman of the Interim Management Committee of the council, Mr Gbenga Omoniyi gave this charge while inaugurating 11 appointed supervisors at the council headquarters.

He said it is expedient that they should work relentlessly to return President Muhammadu Buhari and all APC candidates come February 16, 2019 and resist any attempt by self seeking groups or individuals to hijack the party from them.

Omoniyi who said the re-election of President Buhari will make the president to continue the good works and put Nigeria on a great pedestal, enjoined the supervisors to embark on sensitization programmes for members and the electorate.

He charged the supervisors to see their appointment as a clarion call to serve the people.

Omoniyi said with the full complement of the committee in place it will strengthen the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people.

The inaugurated supervisors and their wards are: Kolawole Roseline, Ward 1; Abisoye Agbayewa, Ward 2; Abiodun Olaniyi, Ward 3; Modupe Adebo, Ward 4 and Olusola Fasuyi, Ward 5.

Others are; Prince Akin Akosile, Ward 6; Taye Fanibuyan, Ward 7; Akinwumi Olabinjo, Ward 8; Ayodeji Ologunmeta, Ward 9; Ahmed Yusuf, Ward 10 and Abiodun Kikiowo, Ward 11.

Speaking on behalf of the supervisors, Mrs Modupe Adebo said they would work to justify their appointment s.
