LG polls: Adelami votes, stresses importance of grassroots governance

Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olayide Adelami, has cast his vote in the local government election held on Saturday.

Adelami, who voted at Unit 16 Igboroko 2, Ward 3, in Owo Local Government Area around 9:45 a.m., expressed satisfaction with the voter turnout and encouraged others to come out and exercise their civic duties.
In a statement issued by John Paul Akinduro, Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor (Office of the Deputy Governor), Adelami said, “It is important to vote in this election to enable us deepen delivery of good governance at the grassroots level because it is the tier of government that is most close to the people.”

The Deputy Governor also praised the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC), security agencies, and other stakeholders for ensuring the peaceful conduct of the election.
