LGSC signs MoU with RUGIPO on ND/HND programmes

In a bid to become a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma awarding institution, Ondo State Local Government Staff Training School, LGSC, Itaogbolu yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, RUGIPO.

LGSC Chairman, Mr Femi Idris while signing the document in his office in Akure , the state capital said the Memorandum of Understanding was part of efforts to key into the education policy of the current government.

Idris opined that the signing of the MoU was an avenue for the workers to expand their scope and acquire more knowledge.

He added that the MoU between the two institutions will lead to many researches that will produce new synergies and add academic value in the years ahead.

His words: “With the tremendous growth in scope and service delivery, we believe that no single institution no matter how large or well endowed can address future challenges alone, in this era of globalization and interdependence, hence the partnership we are witnessing today”.

Acting Rector of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Mr Gani Ogundahunsi described the event as a milestone which must be nurtured to maturity.

He appealed to both parties to pursue the MoU with zeal to make the school great.

The MoU between the two parties will give birth to the award of Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Public Administration, Local Government Studies and others.
