LGSC staff charged on commitment to duty, as over 3000 sit for promotion interview

The Chairman of Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), Mr Femi Idris has charged workers be committed and be dutiful to their duties as over 3100 qualified staff sit for 2023 promotion exercise.

He urged the workers to see the promotion exercise as a step forward in your career.

Idris stated this while monitoring the promotion exercise in Akure South Local Government Area yesterday.

He thanked the state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his commitment to workers welfare, saying the governor has changed the fortune of workers in the state for good with the regular payment of salaries.

He disclosed that the two days promotion exercise is going on simultaneously across the designated centers across the state.

According to him, “the promotion exercise is going on in Ikare, Ondo, Akure, Okitipupa and Owo respectively”.

“Workers have been enjoying their promotion as an when due since the coming onboard of his administration”

The Head of local government Administration, Akure South Local Government, Mr Debo Olajide commended the current government for giving approval for the promotion exercise.

He said the exercise has been a yearly exercise since Akeredolu took over the mantle of governance.

Some of the workers at the venue expressed satisfaction over the promotion exercise.

They said the exercise was hitch-free with no unnecessary stress, as the atmosphere and sitting arrangement were superb.
