The staff of Ondo State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) have been urged to be disciplined, dedicated to duty in order to improve the standard of the commission.
The Commissioner in charge of Regularisation, Conversion and Promotion in the commission, Chief Moses Balogun made the appeal in Akure when the Association of Akoko Sons and Daughters in the commission honoured him.
According to Chief Balogun, “We should all be sincere and committed to our duty. You cannot eat your cake and still have it.
“We should set goals for ourselves to attain our best, even among our children to get their best. We should always be on our toes to deliver. So civil servants must set goals for themselves to improve the system for better productivity”.
He thanked the Akoko sons and daughters in the commission for the honour, and urged them to be more united and always be their brother’s keeper.
Earlier on, Chairperson of the association, Mrs. Adenike Ogunsola said the formation of the association was a deliberate and conscious effort to serve as a non-political forum to cater for the welfare of all Akokos.
