Lookman going nowhere in January, says D’Amico

Tony D’Amico, the Director of Atalanta, has informed interested parties that Ademola Lookman and the team’s other top players will not be sold in January.

The January transfer window opens later this week, and La Dea has a number of players targeted by Premier League powerhouses, including Lookman, a talented winger who is being pursued by Arne Slot’s Liverpool.

D’Amico stated that the Serie A leaders want to keep a full squad in January.

“Certainly, the January transfer window is a difficult one for all clubs,” he told reporters.

” If there are any opportunities, we will go for them, but obviously maintaining the full squad that we currently have at our disposal.”

At the weekend, the 27-year-old helped Gian Piero Gasperini’s team draw 1-1 with Lazio.

The Nigerian has made 20 appearances for the UEFA Europa League winners this season, scoring 11 goals and dishing out six assists.
