Love, panacea to crime – Cleric

From Jimoh Ahmed,
Ikare Akoko.

Love, benevolence, humility and being one brother’s keeper have been described as the essential and necessary ingredients for a peaceful society.

The Chief Imam of Ikareland and Chairman League of Imams and Alfas in Akokoland, Sheikh Abbas Abubakar gave this charge in a sermon he delivered during Friday’s Jumat service in Ikare Akoko.

Abbas said Nigeria as a country and communities in it will be a better place to live i when these ingredients become the watchword of each and every citizen.

The Islamic scholar said these ingredients must start from home where parents will instill home training and native intelligence that will not make children join bad groups.

He noted that despite all challenges in 2021, Nigeria as a country was able to surmount them with fervent prayers.

Sheik Abbas used the occasion to remind all tiers of government on the need to embark on meaningful policies aimed at alleviating the suffering of downtrodden in the society.
