The Ondo State Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Arch. Wale Gbakinro, has said that the victory of the party’s candidates to contest in the 2019 general elections will be a surprise to other political parties.

Gbakinro explained that the LP is a party with good manifestoes that will bring meaningful impacts on the people.

The chairman stated this while presenting notification of interest and requirement forms to aspirants desired to contest for various political offices under the platform of the party in 2019 general elections.

The aspirants include the former two terms member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Afolabi Akinsiku, aspiring to represent Ondo East/West at the Federal Constituency and Hon. Kunle Akintan to represent Ondo West Constituency at the State House of Assembly.

“LP is a market that is already marketed itself to win political offices” he said

He assured the aspirants of the party into the various political posts of the level playing ground in party’s primaries and expressed hope that their popularities will speak for them to be victorious in the elections.

Furthermore, he assured that the LP is a party to beat in the election.

Receiving the requirement form, Hon. Afolabi Akinsiku, said his decision to aspire and contest for the House of Representatives was out of his plan as a clarion call to impact more on the lives of people at the federal level.

Akinsiku said, he would not relent in his effort in using community approach to resolve developmental issues.

On his part, Hon. Kunle Akintan, said he decided to contest under the party following its good manifestoes that will bring developmental projects into the state.
