Make a difference, FGGC graduating students charged

The Principal of Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC) Akure, Mrs Iyabo Adeola Ayoola has  charged the 2018/2019 graduating students to be diligent and proactive in their future endeavours.

The Principal said  much await them as the journey of life is full of ups and downs.

Ayoola gave the charge during the school’s  2019 valedictory service for SSS 3 students.

She said,  “My dear Angels, every journey that has a beginning must have an end, you have come to an end of your six years journey in Federal Government Girls’ College, Akure, now it’s time to let you go. I now pray the same prayer  that I used to pray for you every morning during the assembly at the start of the day that each of you will reach the fullness of life, achieve your dreams and make a mark in the world as FEGGICOLLA  Girls”.

Mrs Ayoola  commended them for the uncommon zeal they have demonstrated towards their studies in the last six years, in their relationship with the teachers, management, the junior students and even among themselves.

She appealed to the graduands to desist from corruption which is about greed either for money or power and those who are driven by it disgrace the society.

Earlier in her valedictory speech, Mrs H. O. Odofin, Deputy Director (Inspectorate/Quality Assurance Department) Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Akure urged the graduands to be good ambassadors of the College and their parents.

“To be different, sometimes you need to stand alone because standing alone is where your unique creative contribution can thrive”.

Parts of activities at the ceremony were recitation of poem, cultural display and  induction of new FEGGICOLLA executives.
