I welcome you to the first edition of this column in year 2021. The Lord has gone ahead of you to make crooked places straight for you to reach your destinations in 2021. I declare to you by the anointing of the Holy Spirit that 2021 shall be your best year. You shall go from strength to strength.
The hands of the Lord shall rest upon your life for good and He will do great things in your life and ministry. This is your month of change. You shall change from glory to glory in Jesus Name. God created you, designed and engineered you for success in life. His purpose for you is that you will experience a new Beginning with Him.
You are so important to God that He sent His only begotten Son to die in your place so you can have a new life in Him. That new life makes you the light of the world. You are God’s channel of miracles. The key to making year 2021 your best year therefore is to make Christ the center of your life. Colossians 1:27.” Christ in you, the Hope of Glory.”Today,we shall continue with our services making year 2021.
Today, we shall look at how we can make year 2021 our best year. It is your decision that determines your direction in life. This year you must live life by intention and decision. You must not put your life on auto-pilot. You must by your decisions and intention create the life of your dreams. Today the key to making year 2021 your best year is to intentionally and by your decision make Christ the center of your life. This is easy to say but not easy to do. It takes decisive effort and sacrifice to do.
How can you make Christ the center of your life
* Jesus Should be our Focus – Col 1:15-23
* Jesus is the supreme focus of the Bible. Christ created all things. He holds all things together. He is supreme. He is the ultimate focus of eternity. Christ should be the focus of your life and every area of your life. He should be the focus of our family life. Christ must reign in our lives.
* Jesus should be the boss – John 8:31
He has the right to run the show of your life because He created you and brought you with a price. He owns you. He alone has the password to your life and so He knows how to run your life. He bought you with His blood. He should be the boss of the life that He bought.
* Jesus should be our source – Galatians 2:20
If we are Christians, we no longer live but Christ lives in us. He is the source of all that we are, our talent, our income. Jesus is the source . Make Him the center of your life.
* The bottom line. It’s not about you. Let us take our eyes of ourselves and unto Jesus.
Practical steps to making Christ the focus of our lives
* Obey His words and live by His principles Matt 7:24.
* Spend time with Him through the Bible
* Let the mind of Christ be in you
* Pursue Love
* Talk to others about Jesus
If He will be Centre of our lives, we must give our lives to Him. Accept that you are a sinner that can not save himself. Invite Him to save you. He doesn’t pokenose into people’s affairs. He only goes to where He’s invited.
Thereafter, commit yourself to knowing Him by studying His Words. Allow the Holy Ghost access into your life so He can give you an understanding of what you read. You will also need to be committed to Kingdom service through a bible believing Church.
