Man, 29, in prison for stealing, attempted murder

A 29 Year Old driver, simply identified as Ajibade Daisi a. k. a Badoo has been arraigned before an Okitipupa Magistrate court for allegedly stealing the sum of N200,000  belonging to one Akeem Kilani.

The accused person and other at large were alleged to have machete Kilani and his wife, Muyibat Kilani with cutlass on their heads which caused them bodily harm.

The offence was committed on March 8, 2018 at about midnight by forcefully broken into the house of the victim .

The accused was brought before the court on four count charges of conspiracy , burglary  stealing and attempt murder.

The prosecutor, Inspt. Orogbemi Zedekiah said the offence was contrary to and punishable under section 516 of the criminal code cap 37 Vol.1 laws of Ondo State of Nigeria 2006.

He told the court how the defendant was arrested and brought to the police station for interrogation.

After pleaded not guilty to the charges, the presiding judge, Musa AL – Yunus admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of #500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.

The sureties must be reasonable and responsible citizens who live within the jurisdiction of the Court. They shall be ownership of landed property within the jurisdiction of the court with evidence of land use charges of three years..

He is to be remanded in Okitipupa prison custody until his bail conditions is perfected.

The case was however adjourned till September 16 for further hearing.
