Man, 29, remanded for motorcycle theft, document snatching

A 29-year old man, Iyiola Damilola has been arraigned before an Iwaro-Oka Chief Magistrate Court for stealing a motorcycle also known as Bajaj and snatching a big wallet containing vital documents.
The police arraigned the defendant before Magistrate B.A Ikusika on a three-count charge.
According to the prosecution, the defendant committed the offence on May 7, 2025 at about 11:43hrs along Iwaro Oka road in the Oka Akoko Magisterial District.
The prosecutor, Inspector Kehinde Emmanuel told the court that the defendant did conspire together with one Omowoa Deji, now in prison custody to commit felony and assault with intent to steal.
He added that unregistered motorcycle with chassis no: MD2A18AX65WK20460 was valued at one hundred and fifty thousand naira only.
The offences contravened Sections 390(9), 86 of the Criminal, Code Cap. 37, Volume 1 Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.
Kehinde prayed for an adjournment to enable him study the case file and gather his witnesses for trial.
The defendant, who had no counsel pleaded guilty to the count when the charge was read to him.
In his ruling, Magistrate B.I Ikusika ordered the remand of the defendant and adjourned the case till May 28, 2025.
