Man arrested for raping teenager

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old man, Francis Olorunfemi for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl.
The Hope Metro gathered that the victim Damilola Okunola was coming from where she was sent on an errand at about 8:25 pm on that fateful evening.
Okunola, it was learnt, is a peaceful and quiet girl, living around Ireakari, Road block, in Akure.
The Hope Metro further gathered that the victim met the suspect,Olorunfemi, on her way back from where she was sent.
The suspect was said to have tried to persuade her to come along with him, while she refused.
For turning down his sexual overtures, Olorunfemi forcefully dragged the girl inside his room and defiled her.
Police sources said upon interrogation, the suspect, Olorunfemi, claimed that the victim had been his long time girl friend and he has been having sexual intercourse with her since last year June.
It was further revealed that the girl had been taken to the police hospital in Akure by the gender unit of the command.
The state police spokesman, Mr Femi Joseph, confirmed the arrest of the suspect, while he added that investigation into the matter is ongoing.
