Man detained for insulting Court President in Ondo

A middle-aged man, Oseni Najeem, has been arrested for allegedly insulting a Grade A Customary Court President in Odigbo, Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo State.
The Hope Metro gathered that the man allegedly insulted the President in an abusive manner.
Eyewitnesses narrated: “After today’s court session, the President noticed him sitting in the court. He approached him, asking what he wanted to do. Oseni replied, saying he wanted to swear an affidavit. The President then directed him to go to the registry while he returned to his office.
“On his way to the registry, Oseni began to insult the President, calling him unprintable names, just because the President had innocently asked what he wanted to do.
“The President, while hearing all that Oseni said from his office, ordered his arrest.”
Our correspondent gathered that Oseni was arrested and detained at the Police Area Command in Ore.
