Akinjagunla area of Ondo town was on Sunday thrown into confusion, following the death of a middle-aged man who was said to have slumped and died during sex romp with his concubine, a married woman, in a popular hotel in the community.

It was gathered that the deceased identified as a civil servant died in one of the hotel rooms. where he had visited with his female partner.

Though the identity of the woman could not  be ascertained as at the time of filing the report, sources said that the woman is the wife of a popular landlords in the area.

A reliable source who spoke with The Hope Metro said the man died in the hotel room after having hot sex with his woman friend, who was suspected to be laced with thunderbolt popularly called (Magun) in local parlance.

He said: “The woman raised the alarm after realizing that the man collapsed. Then, the manager of the hotel and some residents raced to the scene and made frantic efforts to rescue the man, but to no avail.

“The management of the hotel reported the matter to the Yaba Division Police Station in the community, who later stormed the hotel and took the man to the Trauma Centre for treatment. But he was later confirmed dead by doctors on duty.

“The lifeless body of the victim was deposited at the State Specialist Hospital in Ondo town.

When our correspondent visited the area, residents of the street were seen in groups discussing the incident.

Contacted, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the Yaba Division, Mr Moses Adeduro was not available.

Meanwhile, a senior police officer in the station who does not want his name in print, confirmed  the incident.

He said the woman , including the manager of the hotel had been invited for interrogations.

The police source disclosed that a full investigation on the matter had commenced to unravel the circumstances leading to the death of the man.

He also confirmed that the woman had been arrested by the police.

“Yes, we can confirm the death of the man in one of the hotels in Ondo town. His corpse has been evacuated and deposited at the morgue.

“Let me quickly tell you that the woman in question is with us already as we have commenced investigations to unravel the cause of the man’s death, ” he said.
