Man, family cheat death in Okitipupa

An unidentified Honda pilot driver with car number plate FJK 75AS narrowly escaped crashing into a residence with his jeep during the weekend.

 According to an eye witness account, the Honda Pilot break failed while he was navigating to enter the street.

 The near fatal experience occurred around Lebi Lane at The Redeemed Christian Church, Sanctuary Hour, Lebi lane junction.

 When The Hope Metro got to the scene, the driver of the pilot Jeep, had gone to look for support to retrieve his vehicle from the scene.

The Hope Metro gathered that the car would have crashed into a room apartment , occupied by a family, if not for the miraculous halt.

 However, no life was lost, but the vehicle had a dent at the driver’s side.

The eyewitness said,’ I had just passed the exact spot on my way to answer an errand, and I saw the Jeep moving with full force, while its driver was trying to swerve, and controlling the steering for safety.

 ‘The Jeep jumped over the drainage, broke the medium height fence and miraculously pulled to a halt, nearly crashing into that residential apartment.”

Residents of area who thronged the scene appreciated God for minimising the incident.
