Man in court over sheep theft

A 28-year-old man, Saheed Adeoti who allegedly stole a sheep and motorcycle have been dragged before an Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court for alleged theft of a sheep and a motorcycle.

The accused person was said to have committed the offences with some others still at large on May 20, 3019 at 8 am in Sabo area of Osogbo.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Bose Shoyemi, told the court that the accused person stole a sheep and a Jincheng motorcycle from the Sabo community thereby causing chaos within the environment.

The accused person is facing a three-count charge of stealing and a breach of the peace, to which he pleaded not guilty.

The offences contravened Sections 517,430 and 249(D) of the Criminal Law of Osun, 2003.

The magistrate, Mrs Adebola Ajanaku, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50,000  with one surety.

Ajanaku said the surety must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and must provide an evidence of tax payment to Osun Government.

She adjourned the case till June 19, 2019 for mention.
