Man loses manhood in Akure

A middle- aged man, Mr John Joseph, has allegedly lost his manhood to ritualist in Akure on Tuesday.
Narrating his ordeal, Joseph said he was in front of a building where he works as a security man in Oba-Ile Housing Estate of Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo state, when two men on a motorcycle approached him requesting for a two- bedroom for rentage.
Joseph, who had just served for two months as a security in the area said he directed them to another building, owned by his landlord and where his brother also works as a security.
The men, Joseph narrated gave him their contact numbers promising him that they would come back to check the house where they were directed to while one of the men jokingly touched him after which they zoomed off.
Joseph said that as soon as the man touched him he felt strange sensations all over his body and later alerted his wife about the development.
The security man said his two eyes were immediately affected as he fell down, while his wife raised alarm for help.
Few hours later, Joseph, reportedly discovered that his manhood had reduced drastically in size and no longer functioning.
According to him, his brother called the contact number given by the suspected ritualists and they demanded the sum of N200,000 before they could restore his stolen manhood which Joseph said he could not afford.
He told The Hope Metro that he reported the incident at the Oba-Ile police station where he alleged he was denied assistance.
Joseph stated that it took the intervention of some volunteers who took him from one church to another before he got healing at a church in Ijo Mimo area of Akure.
The Hope Metro gathered that Joseph had earlier been taken to two churches after the incident before he got a solution to his predicament at a Church around Ijo Mimo in Ijoka area of Akure, the Ondo state capital.
A hair dresser, who simply gave her name as Iya Aminat, while confirming the incident said she took the victim to her place of worship around Ijoka axis where he was delivered by her church pastor.
As at the time of filing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph said he was yet to be briefed about the incident and would brief the general public as at when due.
