Man O’ War lauds S/West Govs over peace, Amotekun

Southwest Regional Commander of Man O’ War, Mr Ayoade Adeoye, has commended Governors in the geopolitical zone for their efforts towards promoting peace and security, one of which is the establishment of the Amotekun Corps.

Mr Adeoye gave the commendation while speaking at the decoration of the newly promoted men and officers of the Ondo State command of the organisation,  in Akure.

The regional commander stated that Man O’ War has been partnering with security agencies in the country to promote peace and stability, noting security is everybody’s business and  must not be left in the hands of law enforcement agencies alone.

While lamenting the high rate of crime among youths, Mr Adeoye said, “Most of the time, youths are the tools used for perpetrating crime, hardly will you find an aged person participating in crime. That is why Man O’ War engages youths for productive activities, training them to become good citizens.”

While reminding the newly promoted officers that they were screened and found worthy to be promoted, he admonished them to remain diligent in the discharge of their duties, adding that their diligence would be rewarded.

Speaking with The Hope, the Commander of Man O’ War, Ondo State Command, Mr Adedayo Adeniyan, described the promotion as a call to service that would require all the promoted officers to be more diligent and dutiful

Earlier, in his speech, Mr Adeniyan who said that his administration had trained over 2,600 members in various capacities congratulated the newly decorated officers and admonished them to see the new assignments given to them as opportunities for service.

In his good will message, former Deputy State Commander and pioneer secretary of Man O’ War, Ondo State Command, Mr Ayo Afolayan, thanked all those who came to grace the occasion.

Some of the newly decorated officers who spoke with The Hope expressed appreciation to the leadership of the organisation for the opportunity given to them and promised to work for the progress of the outfit.

Highlights of the occasion included launching the tactical unit of Man O’ War, Ondo State Command, administration of oath and decoration of newly promoted officers by the Regional Commander.
