The police prosecutor, Sergeant Suleiman Abdulateef, prayed the court to remand the defendant in prison custody pending the legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution.

The Magistrate, Mrs Victoria Bob-Manuel, held that it is a case of armed robbery which the court lacked jurisdiction to entertain.

She, therefore, ordered the remand of the defendant at Olokuta prison custody pending the issuance of the legal advice.

The prosecutor, was ordered to make available both the original and duplicate of the case file to the court clerk. While the court clerk was mandated to dispatch  the duplicate to the DPP’s office and the original to the office of the chief registrar Ondo state for safe keeping.
