The Head of Service in Ondo State, Mr. Bayo Philip, has called for heightened commitment to duty from the state’s workforce.

In a press statement made available to Weekend Hope in Akure, Philip conveyed his congratulations to the workers in celebration of the 2025 Workers’ Day.

The statement highlighted the vital role that workers and Labour leaders have played in fostering a peaceful and collaborative working environment in Ondo State.

Philip commended the workers for their hard work and patriotism, adding that their commitment had contributed to the sustained industrial peace in the state.

He also acknowledged the valuable partnership between the leadership of Organized Labour and the government.

“The harmonious relationship, founded on mutual engagement and dialogue, has been instrumental in ensuring continued cooperation between the Labour leadership and the government,” Philip noted.

Furthermore, the Head of Service reassured workers of the government’s unwavering dedication to improving their welfare.

He emphasised that Governor Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is resolutely committed to building a robust, motivated workforce capable of effectively executing government policies and programmes.

Philip also took the opportunity to remind workers of the importance of delivering quality service. “To whom much is given, much is expected,” he stated, urging workers to remain dedicated to the state’s vision for progress.

He further emphasised the new mantra, “Don’t deliver short, don’t deliver late,” encouraging workers to meet expectations in both timeliness and performance.

The statement concluded with a warm greeting, wishing all workers a Happy Workers’ Day.
