Mechanic arraigned for stealing motor spare parts

A 21-year-old-mechanic, Tajudeen Adedokun, has been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrates’ Court, for theft of motor spare parts.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Kehinde Adewole told the court that the accused person stole one motor cylinder, alternator, fuel pump and one `engine bottom, all valued at N62,500, belonging to one Kehinde Afolayan.
The accused person committed the offence on June 18, 2019 at about 7:30 p.m. at Malam Tope area, Osogbo, contrary to the provisions of Sections 383 and 390 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. 11, Laws of Osun.
The accused person, who had no legal representation, pleaded not guilty to the offence.
The Magistrate, Mr Ola Olagoke, granted the accused bail in the sum of N40,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Olagoke said the sureties must provide two passport photographs each and must be a resident residing in Osogbo.
The case was adjourned till July 19, 2019 for mention.
