Mechanic in court for beheading octogenarian

A 40-year -old motorcycle repairer, Biobaku Aladeyehun is now cooling his feet at the Olokuta prison for allegedly beheading a 73-year-old woman, Mrs Stella Betiku.
The Hope Metro learnt that the accused committed the offence in a farm on October 13, this year.
According to the charge sheet, the suspect laid an ambush for the Octogenarian at Igbodigo farm, Okipupa, Ondo State.
Aladeyehun who is facing a two-count at an Akure Chief Magistrate Court was alleged to have committed the offence with others now at large.
The offence, stated the prosecution was contrary to section 319 (3)of the Criminal Code Cap 37, volume I Laws of Ondo State.
No plea was taken from the accused while the police prosecutor , Mr Goodluck Udoh urged the court to remand him at Olokuta Prison to enable him seek legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP)
Udoh sued for an adjournment pending the outcome of the legal advice from the DPP’s office .
The Defendant’s counsel, Mrs Taiwo Taiwo did not object to his client being remanded in prison.
In her ruling, the Magistrate, Mrs Charity Adeyanju directed the accused to be remanded at Olokuta prison till November 28, 201,8 pending the issuance of the legal advice from the DPP’s office.
