Miyetti Allah imposes curfew on cattle rearers in Ondo

In its bid to enhance safety and security in Ondo state, the National President of Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Muhamadu Kirwa, has directed every cattle rearer in the state, to observe curfew from 7pm to 6am  daily.

 The Hope Metro gathered that the  president of the sect, who was not happy with the rate of criminal cases in the state, compelled  his members to synergize with the  state government by moving with their cattles  during the approved stipulated  hours.

Kirwa, the Ardom of Zuru, made the statement during  a courtesy call to the governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi  Akeredolu in his office, in Akure.

It was learnt that the Miyetti Allah leader advised  anyone whose  crops were  destroyed by cattles to officially lodge a report at the state office of the sect.

He assured that any Fulani herdsman who is   caught and found guilty will pay for damages after it had been verified  by the office of the Miyetti Allah in the state.

Also speaking, the state Chairman of Miyetti Allah, Bello Garba disclosed to The Hope Metro that they have formed a Fulani vigilantee group an a result of the outcome of the recent security summit in the state.

Garba, who stated that these groups are  all over the 18 Local Government Areas of the state, explained that the special Fulani Vigilantee groups are to work under the government by fishing out kiddnapers to assist in beefing up security in the communities.

According to him,  the Fulani vigilantee groups will  help in disclosing the hideouts of the kidnappers at Sabo in Araromi, while the police make arrest.

He later disclosed that  thus far, they have arrested two suspects.
