The Akala of Ikaram-Akoko, Oba Andrew Momodu, has urged Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to swiftly rehabilitate the Ikaram-Okeagbe and Ikaram-Iboropa roads.
Oba Momodu emphasised that the dilapidated roads are crucial for linking the areas to other communities, thereby fostering commercial and agricultural activities in the region.
The monarch made this call in a brief congratulatory statement obtained by The Hope on Wednesday.
While congratulating the governor on his victory in the just-concluded gubernatorial election in the state, Oba Momodu described the poll as peaceful.
He said: “Congratulations, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on your election victory. The election was peaceful. I urge you to continue showing respect and recognition to traditional institutions, as they have played a key role in maintaining the current peaceful atmosphere in Ondo State.
“I also ask that you help us address the Ikaram-Okeagbe and Ikaram-Iboropa roads. Improving these roads will greatly benefit agricultural activities in the area.”
The monarch further urged his people to remain cooperative, loyal, and law-abiding under Aiyedatiwa’s administration.
