Monarch laments vandalisation of electric cables

The Onigedegede of Gedegede in Akoko Northwest Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Walidu Sanni has expressed his sadness over the rate at which public utilities, especially, electric cables are being vandalised in the community.
Oba Sanni made this known while speaking with newsmen in his palace on Thursday.
The monarch who disclosed that the solar street lights in the community have been vandalised and and all components carted away by thieves said this has thrown the town into perpetual darkness.
The Onigedegede who noted that they woke in the morning to see that all street lights have been removed said this has drawn the community backwardness as brought hardship a to the people.
He therefore called for a serious efforts on the part of the people of the community and government to put in place, night guards and vigilante, to guard and monitor government properties from the vandals.
