Monarch supports upgrade of Adeyemi College

The Osemawe of Ondo kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo has pledged his support for the elevation of Adeyemi College of Education to a University of Education.
He made the pledge when the newly appointed Governing Council Chairman of the college, Ms Oluyemisi Idia Babalola paid a courtesy visit to his palace.
The royal father expressed delight on the composition of members of the Governing Council, saying that the institution would attain greater heights with its calibre of personalities.
Oba Kiladejo urged members of the council to do everything humanly possible to see that the upgrade of the college to a university becomes a reality during their tenure.
He stated that the achievement would enable them have their names written in gold when the history of the town is to be documented, assuring them of his support when necessary.
Speaking earlier, Babalola accompanied by other members, commended the monarch for all his efforts to make the kingdom a cynosure of all eyes and his support to the college as well.
Babalola stated that the council under her leadership would do everything possible to see to its elevation as restoration of the university status of the college.
In his remarks, the Provost of the college, Dr Akinrinola Akintunde expressed delight for the coming of the governing council members and assured that they would bring good things to the institution.
He lauded the chairman and other members of the Council for their patriotism, zeal and determination.
Akintunde added that their efforts at seeking partnership with the Ondo State Government and resolve to pursue the attainment of university status for the college is highly commendable.
The provost equally appreciated the council members for treating issues relating to outstanding workers promotion, saying the step showed the love they have for the progress and well-being of staff of the institution.
