A motorcyclist narrowly escaped death on Thursday in an accident that occurred on Airport Road, Oba-Ile.

The incident, which involved a  motorcyclist and the driver of a Toyota Corolla with registration number Lagos Epe 637 HG, occurred around 8:00 a.m., according to an eyewitness.

Eyewitness account disclosed that the motorcyclist was riding against traffic and collided with the Toyota Corolla, which was making a turn at the junction.

The Hope Metro learned that the driver of the Toyota Corolla was attempting to make a turn to drop his children at a nearby private school when the accident occurred.

Eyewitnesses said passersby who heard the head-on collision rushed to the scene to assist the victim.

The driver of the Toyota Corolla ran to the nearest police station to report the incident.

Meanwhile, other motorcyclists in the area,  helped the injured motorcyclist.

While the driver of the Toyota Corolla was unharmed, the motorcyclist suffered a broken leg.
