Motorists plying Ipele/Idoani road in Ondo State have cried out to the Federal government to rehabilitate the road before it becomes a death trap.
When The Hope did on-site investigation, it was discovered that major part of the road has been washed away by erosion and vehicles become stuck.

One of the motorists who spoke with our correspondent, Mr Bamidele Joseph, said he had to sleep over at Idoani because it was dangerous to pass the road at night due to the deplorable state of the road.

He noted that motorists find it very difficult to pass through the road due to its present state.

He said, “The road is so deplorable to the extent that vehicles like hilux and jeeps cannot ply it talk less of cars. The only vehicle you can find on the road are trailers and it’s still not easy for them to pass through. Some people have been there for five days, they can’t move. When you get there you will see fallen trailers of petrol and those carrying loads as well,” he said.
