Moyero FC set for new season

By Femi Atolagbe

Moyero FC will  commence preparation for the 2019 soccer season with screening and trial of players.

The Sporting Hope gathered that the screening will begin from (today) Monday at Ijapo housing field, Akure the state capital.

The Chairman of the club, Lanre Moyero said  the preparation of the team ahead of the incoming season ought to have commenced about three weeks ago but due to the unavailability of  some foreign partners of  the team who had insisted to be on ground during the process.

Moyero further hinted that the club is expected to reach a new height this season after previously staying away from the domestic scene.

Meanwhile,Moyero FC have registered for this year’s FA Cup in Ekiti State where they will be battling eleven other teams for the ultimate prize and the ticket to represent Ekiti State at the AITEO Cup.

On why he chose to register Moyero FC in Ekiti state FA Cup instead of Ondo State, the Club Chairman said he wanted to try opportunities elsewhere having been playing the competition in Ondo state for a very long time, adding that his partners did not want any form of distraction especially when the scouting of players commenced.

Apart from the FA Cup Moyero FC will also participate in the Nationwide League in Ekiti State while the team will also embark on a scouting tour later in the year.
