Mrs Akeredolu donates to first baby of the year

The wife of  Ondo State Governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu -Akeredolu has donated cash and gifts to the first baby of the year in the State.

The baby, who was delivered 12.05am at the Comprehensive Health Centre Arakale, Akure by Mrs Mary Oborhua weighed 3.4kg.

Akeredolu while presenting cash donations and gift items to the baby congratulated the mother for the safe arrival of the baby and said that she was happy visiting the baby as her first official assignment for the year and more so that the baby and mother are healthy.

While stressing the importance of healthy living and exclusive breast feeding, she advised parents to always keep watch over their children.

“I want to congratulate you on the safe delivery of your baby. I am particularly happy that my first official assignment is receiving the baby of the year and to thank God that mother and child are looking healthy. Take good care of the baby and key into exclusive breast feeding for healthy growth.”

The mother of the baby, Mrs Mary Oborhua who could not hide her joy thanked Mrs Akeredolu for her visit, gifts and prayed that God will continue to bless her.

 “I am very happy today that the Governor’s wife visited my baby with gifts despite her busy schedule. I pray that God will continue to help and bless her. “
