My gift divine -Kristeni Elegbin

A renowned gospel artiste, Evang.Tope Olutokun, popularly known as Kristeni Elegbin has said his gift of music is divine.
The artiste who disclosed this in an interview on a popular radio programme narrated how he started
He explained that God has given him gift of singing right from his childhood
“Someone once told me some years ago while I was at a tender age, that if I sing, people will gather to praise God through my song.
“All thanks to God the word of prophecy then, has come to reality”
“I received my music from God, because no one can receive anything unless it was given to him,” he said.
Narrating how he recieved inspiration about one of his songs Kristeni Elegbin, he said the verses, the composition and the title were given to him by God within ten minutes.
“When we were composing it, after the scripting and everything, I suddenly heard a voice from the lord, giving me the title as Kristeni Elegbin.
“During this period, I was fasting to seek God’s instructions on the music and I did according to what God sent me.”
He stated that his concentration on the music was that the music will have full percussions but reverse is the case when he heard from the lord.
The Osun state born crooner has up to six albums to his credit among which are Aseirorun, Ile Ileri, Kristeni Elegbin, among others.
He identified lack of fund to finance himself and his band, when he started as his major challenges .
“I remember one day i and my band boys were going to Ore many years ago, it was a night programme, our vehicle suddenly developed fault on the road, we had to sleep in the bush that very day, we couldn’t go to where we were invited, and many more experiences, he said.
He however urged Christians to put their trust in God and be truthful in all their endeavor.
“Truth is like lion, when you release it, they will defend themselves.” He said.
