A 40-year-old, Moyosola Adedeji Adesina, has approached a Grade A Customary Court sitting in Akure, seeking for the dissolution of her 11-year- old marriage on the ground of abandonment and no child.
The plaintiff told the court on Monday that she had been engaged to her estranged husband,Taiye Sunday Adesina, since September 20, 2008, without any issue
Moyosola said,” Our agreement before leaving Abuja in 2016 was that I will continue with my Higher National Diploma (HND), education at the Rufus Giwa Polythenic, Ọwó, Exactly in December 27, 2016, he called me to come to Ikare, my home-town. And on getting there, I discovered that he had brought all my property without my consent, claiming that he had been ejected from the house we lived in Abuja.
“So, I went to their family house where I informed his brother of what had happened. And my husband also repeated what he told me there. “But when I asked for the way forward, my mother-in-law interrupted and that her son must have seen something before acting that way. Therefore, asked me to take whatever action I could take.
” Since that 2016 , he has never called me. His close friend later called and told me that he has married another woman. There is no more love between us. Besides, we have no issue. So I’m sure that is what he wants.”
The respondent who was said to reside in Abuja was absent at the hearing.
The President of the court, Mr.Akinleye Akinseye therefore , adjourned the case till July 3, 2019 for judgement.
