The Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in July 16, election in Osun State, Mr. Lasun Yussuff has cried out over threat to his life.
Lasun who said he will not be deterred by the threat to his life and his campaign office, disclosed that nothing will stop him from becoming the next governor of Osun State.
He , however, said he had alerted the police and other security agencies in the state and Abuja for onward action and investigation.
The LP hopeful and former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives said his life was in serious danger expressing worry why some disgruntled and desperate politicians could go far in threatening his life.
While saying he was not suspecting any one yet, Lasun disclosed that he has left the police and other security agencies to unravel those behind the campaign office attack and his personal life threat.
Yessuff spoke while addressing reporters at his campaign office situated at Oroki Estate in Osogbo, the State capital at weekend.
He maintained that his campaign has always been issued based exercise, which does not involves thuggery activity or using of money to buy vote in order to win election.
His words ” In recent times, particularly since we secured the ticket of the Labour Party to contest the July, 16, 2022 election in Osun State, there have been some unusual behavior by certain individuals and groups towards me and my Campaign Team.
” I hereby seize this opportunity to intimate the press and public about the ugly incident/attack to our Campaign office and some previous physical attacks to my person and my entourage in the past two weeks.
All these ugly attacks on me personally and my campaign office point to the fact that my life and all others involved in my Gubernatorial Campaign in Osun are in serious danger.
