Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (OSOPADEC) 2023 budget has been committed to Committee stage for scrutiny.
The N14 billion budget presented by the State Government was committed to Committees on OSOPADEC and Finance and Appropriation after scaling through the second reading on the floor of the House at a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun.
Over N10 billion naira is for capital expenditure while N4 billion is for recurrent expenditure.
The Speaker enjoined the committees to do proper job on the budget and submit to the house as soon as possible.
Earlier, while debating on the budget, the lawmakers commended the increase in the budget over the last year which was N11 billion..
They commended the early presentation of the budget, saying more social amenities in the budget proposal will improve the standard of living of the people of the mandate area.
