The National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS) has commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State for approving the payment of bursaries and scholarships to students from the state in tertiary institutions, as well as for granting job slots.

The student group also commended the Governor for allocating employment slots for graduates from the state.

Aiyedatiwa had last week approved the payment of bursaries and scholarships to the students of state origin in tertiary institutions, also granted the allocation of five job slots for graduates of Ondo State.

NAOS, in a press release jointly signed by ite president and the general secretary, expressed appreciation to the Governor for the inclusion of the students in the Nigerian Law and Medical Schools as beneficiaries of the financial benefits.

The students urged him to hasten the nursery and scholarship disbursement process and attend to their request promptly.

The statement reads, “We appreciate the Governor’s recent approval of bursaries and scholarships for students of Ondo State origin. We also urge Mr Governor to hasten the disbursement process as the entire students of Ondo state are eagerly expectant. We hope our request is attended to in no distant time.

“The allocation of the five job slots for graduates of Ondo State is highly commendable. These demonstrate your commitment to education and youth employment, which are crucial for the development and prosperity of our state.”

The student body further acknowledged the Senior Special Assistant on Student Affairs to the Ondo State Governor, Kevin Solomon Olaolu, for his constant engagement with student leaders and his proactive approach to addressing the students’ concerns.

The association noted that the inclusive approach of the SSA to the Ondo Governor has fostered a sense of belonging and empowered the student populace to strive for excellence, knowing that the government stands firmly behind student development.
